Hamlens in 1974. It was Dave's love of nature, plants, and the environment
that lead him to start the business. Dave works with the landscape
design aspects of the business and in the garden center.

Anne
married Dave in 1980. Anne became involved full-time with the business
in 1986. Anne isn't always seen but her presence is felt as she
works behind the scenes doing the accounting, ordering, payroll,
signage, and inventory. One of Anne's hobbies is her plants at home.
She has the green thumb in the Hamlen household. |

Working
in a greenhouse has been a dream of Rachels for a long time. Rachel
is married to Ray and is Dave Hamlen's mom. The garden center looks
forward to Rachels homemade treats. |

Ray
has worked at the garden center since 1983. He married Rachel in
1982 and together they enjoy transplanting in the greenhouses. Transplanting
in March in a warm sunny greenhouse can give anyone Spring fever.

Jeff
loves managing the nursery, potting the many trees and shrubs that
arrive to us bare root. Jeff also manages his own Richford forest.
Jeff is always willing to share his expertise on trees and shrubs
making him a favorite with customers. |

Joann
is in charge of our store. Her friendly, professional manor is a
delight to everyone who visits the store. Joann likes to spend her
winters in Florida and summers in Vermont. Joann has completed the
U.V.M. Master Gardener program.

started working with us when we asked her to be on our consumer
advisory board. Judy’s love for gardening inspires those she
comes in contact with. When not trying to find time to work in her
own gardens she becomes inspired visiting gardens in other countries.

has worked with us for a number of years. Bill does a lot of work
behind the scenes especially in the greenhouses. His eager attitude
makes Bill a fun person to be around.

works in the nursery printing the informational plant tags and signs.
Her friendly easy-going manor is appreciated by everyone she meets.
Katrina enjoys the challenge of learning plant names and their characteristics.
Her appreciation of nature and plants makes Katrina a likely candidate
for working at the garden center.
